Our verdict on DoneDeal Cars
DoneDeal Cars is an Ireland-focused marketplace for browsing new and used cars listed by dealerships and private sellers. Buyers can filter by make, model, year, price, mileage, location, fuel type, transmission and body type, and review vehicle and seller details. The service suits shoppers who want to compare different seller types and narrow a search before contacting a seller; it is not a checkout-based car-buying service, since contracts are completed separately between buyer and seller.
Search and discovery are the clearest strengths. Saved searches can trigger notifications, which helps buyers track listings that match chosen criteria. The listing mix includes both dealer and private ads, while some individual listings may show vehicle history checks, warranties or delivery availability. Those extras depend on the seller and the ad, so the marketplace is useful for finding options but buyers still need to assess each listing and follow the site's guidance on researching and inspecting cars before purchase.
The service is free to browse, and its finance pathway connects eligible shoppers with partner lenders for pre-approval. That can help buyers explore financing alongside their search, but it does not replace arranging the sale directly with the seller. DoneDeal Cars is a fit for Irish buyers comfortable comparing ads and handling the transaction outside the website. Buyers who want online purchase completion or consistent checks and delivery on every listing should consider a service that explicitly provides those capabilities. The product is available on web and mobile; its support channel is documentation.
