Dona is a cloud-based giving system for churches, charities and other organisations in the UK. It combines contactless, Chip & PIN and mobile-wallet donations with online giving pages, QR codes, Gift Aid collection and management reporting. Churches can use it for one-time gifts across onsite terminals and web-based donation journeys, while campaign and payout reports provide administrative oversight. The product is available on the web and supports small, mid-market and enterprise organisations.
Dona’s pricing combines purchased hardware with a monthly service. The Digital Donation Box costs £750 for the Floor Stand Package, or £650 for either the Countertop or Wall Mount Package. Digital Collection Plates cost £490 for WiFi only or £560 for WiFi + 4G. These packages are purchased outright and are VAT zero rated for charitable organisations. The Monthly Service costs £12.50 per terminal per month, has no fixed-term contract and can be paused during periods of non-use. It includes an online giving page, QR code, management portal reporting and Gift Aid declarations.
The strongest fit is a church that prioritises contactless onsite giving and needs campaign, donor, device and payout reports in one system. Compatible terminals can capture donations offline, while custom donation amounts, screensavers and up to 20 campaigns support different fundraising contexts. Security and compliance coverage includes GDPR, ISO 27001 and PCI DSS, with email, phone, chat and documentation support. Dona is less suitable for organisations centred on recurring gifts, text giving or donor self-service, since those workflows are not part of its current feature set. Churches needing those capabilities should consider a product built around broader digital giving coverage.
