Dolio organizes shared expenses for friends, roommates and travel groups across web, iOS and Android. A group can use equal, exact-amount or weighted splits, while Dolio calculates balances and suggests the minimum transfers needed for settlement. Ghost participants can join the accounting without accounts, and invite links, comments and notes support everyday group coordination. One-tap settlement records preserve a permanent history, making Dolio suited to trips and shared household costs where participants need a common ledger.
The Free plan costs €0 forever and includes unlimited groups and expenses, all split types, multi-currency support, synchronized web, iOS and Android access, and one-tap settlement with full history. Pro Monthly costs €2.49 per month and adds AI receipt recognition, itemized expense creation, advanced analytics, spending insights, activity logs, ownership rules and priority support. The €0.99 7-day Trip Pass unlocks Dolio Pro for a fixed trip period, giving short-term travelers a paid option without a monthly commitment. AI receipt scanning is the main upgrade for groups that want to turn receipts into detailed expenses.
Dolio’s platform coverage supports browser and mobile workflows, although Android is currently described as a closed beta and the web app is available on mobile browsers. The service supports email and documentation channels, and its stated compliance posture includes GDPR. Dolio records settlements but does not process or transfer money, so users still complete payments outside the app. Groups that need clear split calculations, receipt-based entry or participants without accounts should consider Dolio; groups wanting integrated payment transfers or fully available Android access should choose another tool.
