Our verdict on DO.Impact Core
DO.Impact Core is a self-hosted, single-user web application for small manufacturers. It combines strategic planning with transformation, commercial, operations, people, execution, reporting and compliance workflows. The open-source edition includes goals and strategy maps, Hoshin planning with an X-matrix, strategy deployment waterfalls, initiative progress tracking, value-driver trees, action timelines with Gantt views, owner dashboards and board reports. It runs on a user's own machine or private network and is released under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0.
Its strongest fit is for organizations that want Hoshin planning tied directly to operational work. Manufacturing operations, supply chain and scheduling workflows sit alongside people, skills-matrix and organizational workflows. Shop-floor kiosk mode extends the product into frontline settings, while the pre-loaded TitanScale sample company provides an included example environment. These capabilities give DO.Impact Core a narrower but distinctive focus: connecting strategy deployment with manufacturing execution, rather than serving as a general-purpose planning workspace.
The open-source edition is free and supports self-hosted deployment through a local or hosted Supabase setup. That model can suit teams responsible for their own infrastructure and interested in AGPL-3.0 software. The trade-off is scale: the supplied edition is limited to one user, which restricts collaboration for larger planning groups.
