DMI Vejr review
A free Android weather app pairing worldwide forecasts with Denmark radar and alerts.

DMI Vejr is the Danish Meteorological Institute’s Android weather app, combining forecasts for locations worldwide with tools centered on Denmark. It suits people who want broad location coverage alongside local radar, satellite imagery, meteorologist-written outlooks and warnings for dangerous weather. GPS-based access brings up nearby forecasts from DMI locations, and forecast coverage extends up to nine days ahead. The app is free to download from Google Play, making it a practical fit for users who want these capabilities without a paid plan.
The product’s clearest distinction is its mix of worldwide forecasts and Denmark-specific weather views. Users can check radar for Denmark and satellite imagery showing approaching weather systems, then consult written outlooks from meteorologists for further context. This combination is especially relevant for people tracking conditions in Denmark; the radar and satellite features are regional rather than a worldwide weather-imaging layer. For forecasts beyond Denmark, the app provides location forecasts, but its standout visual tools remain focused on Danish conditions.
DMI Vejr keeps its offering straightforward: the app is free, with no paid tiers described, and its mobile platform is Android. Warnings for dangerous weather require Android 7 or higher. Choose it if worldwide forecasts, Danish radar and official meteorologist outlooks in one free app match your needs. It is a less suitable choice if you need radar coverage outside Denmark or an app for a platform other than Android.
