Django AdServer is ad serving software from DJAX Technologies for publishers, ad networks, agencies and media companies. It manages campaigns and line items across display, mobile, video, CTV and native formats, with targeting and reporting alongside billing, publisher revenue shares, payouts and invoices. Its breadth makes it relevant to operators who need both campaign delivery and financial workflows in one platform; teams seeking only a lightweight ad-serving tool may find that scope broader than necessary.

Deployment and licensing shape the buying decision. The License plan runs on the customer’s servers or cloud account, with modules and formats selected per deployment; installation and integration are included, as are three months of support. The Source Code plan adds full source code for licensed modules and the ability to modify, extend and rebrand, without per-impression or revenue-share fees. With Managed, DJAX deploys and operates the platform, handling monitoring, updates and scaling, while hosting in a cloud account in the customer’s name. Pricing is quote-based, so prospective buyers should discuss the desired modules and deployment with sales rather than compare published tier prices.

The feature set extends from geographic, device, OS, browser, daypart, keyword and contextual targeting to first-party audiences and frequency controls. Reporting includes real-time data, scheduled reports, CSV exports and a reporting API. Click and impression fraud filtering, header bidding, OpenRTB exchange modules, and white-label advertiser and publisher interfaces add options for operators handling multiple inventory and partner relationships; Prebid and OpenRTB are listed integrations. Choose Django AdServer if those capabilities and a choice of operating model fit your ad business. Consider a narrower alternative if you do not need billing and payouts, specialized modules or a quote-led purchase process.

Django AdServer pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • Targets by geography, device, context, audience and more.
    • Combines advertiser billing with publisher revenue shares and payouts.
    • Offers cloud or self-hosted deployment and white-label interfaces.
  • Where it doesn't
    • Quote-based pricing makes costs harder to compare upfront.
    • Modules and ad formats are selected per deployment.
    • Managed deployment puts operation of the platform with DJAX.
