DIY Surveys is a cloud survey platform for researchers, consultants, in-house insight teams, customer-experience teams, and other organizations. It combines survey templates, drag-and-drop question editing, respondent uploads, purchased respondent panels, multi-channel invitations, and online results analysis. The platform is available through the web and API, with tools for collecting responses, managing recipients, and producing reports.
Its usage-based structure has two main customer paths. Cash Customers pay per SMS or WhatsApp invitation, with costs varying by country; no license fees apply, and standard support plus a knowledge base are included. Credit Customers also have no license fees unless premium support is required, with monthly invoicing for usage and possible volume breaks. This approach fits teams that prefer costs tied to survey activity rather than a recurring software license. Teams running infrequent surveys or needing predictable fixed pricing may prefer a different commercial model.
DIY Surveys is particularly suited to research operations that need systems to connect with survey distribution and reporting processes. Data can move through FTP, SFTP, FTPS, HTTP, and other transports, while results can be exported in CSV, PIPE, TAB, XML, JSON, Excel, and PDF formats. The REST API covers messaging, survey-result retrieval, recipient management, and usage reporting, and callbacks and webhooks support messaging, recipient processing, and results collection. These capabilities make it a strong fit for API-led programs and multi-channel research; teams wanting only a lightweight form builder may not need its wider integration surface.
