Divvy is web-based restaurant tip-management software for independent restaurants. It connects point-of-sale and scheduling systems with configurable tip pools, tip-out rules, employee earnings visibility, payroll exports, reports, audit logs, and team communication. Managers can configure pools using even, hours, points, role, or keep-your-own methods, while employees can view tips, hours, and pay-period totals through the employee portal. Access is available on the web, iPhone, iPad, and Android.
Pricing is straightforward and charged per restaurant rather than per employee. The Core plan costs $39 per restaurant per month and includes tip pooling, tip-out rules, live POS synchronization, scheduling integrations, reports, payroll export, an employee portal, an audit log, and team communication. The Payouts plan costs $69 per restaurant per month and adds Scheduling Hub, Hiring Hub, direct-deposit tip payouts through Stripe, and per-employee payout history. Both plans are paid subscriptions, and Divvy includes a 14-day free trial. Restaurants that only need allocation, reporting, and payroll workflows can keep costs lower with Core; those wanting direct deposits should budget for Payouts.
Integration coverage is a central part of Divvy’s fit. It supports Toast, Square, Clover, Heartland, Shift4, 7shifts, Sling, Deputy, When I Work, and Homebase, with live synchronization for checks, tips, and hours and shift-based pooling through scheduling integrations. Its reports include date-ranged earnings and IRS Form 8027 gross-receipts tracking, while the payout audit log shows calculation breakdowns. Divvy suits restaurants that want flexible rules and mobile access without per-employee pricing. Restaurants seeking a free product or a completed native iOS app should consider alternatives.
