Divi review
A broad visual toolkit for WordPress sites, with no free plan and self-hosted setup.

Divi is a self-hosted WordPress theme and visual drag-and-drop builder from Elegant Themes. It is aimed at website owners, freelancers, agencies, and small businesses that want to create pages and full site layouts without coding. Its Theme Builder extends beyond landing pages to headers, footers, posts, product templates, and archives. The product also includes premade layouts, native content modules, contact forms with customizable fields and spam protection, blogging tools, basic SEO controls, WooCommerce modules, and AI-generated site-building options.
The plan structure centers on three named options. Divi includes the theme and visual builder, unlimited website usage, Divi Dash, and 24/7 customer support. Divi Pro adds Divi AI, Divi Cloud, Divi VIP, and Divi Teams alongside the theme and builder. Divi Lifetime costs $249 as a one-time payment and includes lifetime access, unlimited website usage, lifetime updates, and support. This makes the lifetime tier relevant for users planning to maintain multiple WordPress sites over time, while the annual options provide a choice for customers who prefer not to make a one-time commitment.
Its main ecosystem advantage is WordPress compatibility. Divi supports third-party plugins and custom code, with integrations including WooCommerce, Stripe, Rank Math, WPForms, Advanced Custom Fields, MemberPress, TranslatePress, Tutor LMS, Amelia Booking, and Simply Schedule Appointments. That breadth suits businesses combining content, commerce, forms, memberships, education, or appointments in one WordPress installation. However, Divi is not an all-in-one hosted platform, so WordPress hosting and site administration remain part of the setup. Choose it for visual control across a WordPress site; consider another builder if you want hosted infrastructure or booking built into the core product.
Divi pros and cons
- Where it wins
- Theme Builder covers headers, footers, posts, products, and archives
- Includes forms, blogging, SEO controls, WooCommerce, and AI options
- Unlimited website usage and third-party WordPress integrations
- Where it doesn't
- Requires self-hosted WordPress rather than a hosted site platform
- No free plan is available
- Booking depends on integrations rather than a listed native feature
