DistilBook is a web app that turns documents into narrated explainer videos. You upload a PDF (scanned pages included), a Word file, Markdown or plain text, images or an article link, or type a prompt. DistilBook writes the narration script and stops so you can review and edit every line before anything is drawn or voiced, and visual instructions can steer the artwork. It then draws original artwork for each slide in one of 15 styles, a hand-drawn whiteboard look plus 14 motion-graphics styles such as isometric illustration, soft 3D, cut paper collage and editorial flat vector, and animates it in time with the voiceover. There are no avatars and no stock footage.

Videos come out in 16:9 landscape or 9:16 vertical with narration in 19 languages, and every paid plan applies your logo and brand colours to every scene. Pricing runs on credits: a slide costs 10 credits and editing a slide 5 more. New accounts get 10 free credits with no card, enough for the first slide of a video. Basic costs $15 a month, or $7 a month billed yearly, for 170 credits (about 17 slides) and motion videos up to 4 minutes; Pro costs $35, or $17 billed yearly, for 450 credits, videos up to 6 minutes and 30-page PDFs; Max costs $75, or $37 billed yearly, for 1,000 credits and videos up to 10 minutes. Paid plans remove the watermark and allow MP4 downloads, credits reset monthly without rolling over, and a full refund is offered within the first 3 days.

It suits teachers, course creators and small studios that already have the material in a document and want a narrated lesson, onboarding module or product explainer without filming or animating by hand. The script review is the step to get right: the narration locks once generation starts, and a typical 8 to 10 slide video takes about 35 minutes to finish.
