DishMath is restaurant analytics software for independent operators, small restaurant groups, accountants, and distributors. It connects POS, accounting, supplier-invoice, labor, scheduling, reservation, and delivery data in a web app with API access. The platform focuses on restaurant profitability, including dish-level food costs, labor costs, contribution margins, menu performance, supplier pricing, and peer benchmarks. It also supports multi-location reporting and weekly SMS recommendations for operational actions.
Its main strength is the depth of its restaurant-specific analysis. DishMath can automatically map recipes and food costs from POS sales and supplier invoices, monitor supplier prices, recommend supplier changes, analyze labor costs by day-part, and suggest schedules. Weekly menu engineering combines popularity and margin, while anonymous benchmarks can be viewed by cuisine, price point, and ZIP code. Exports include CSV, Excel, and QuickBooks journal entries. Integrations include Toast, Square for Restaurants, Clover, TouchBistro, Lightspeed, Revel, Aloha (NCR), QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, NetSuite, Sysco, US Foods, Restaurant Depot, and Gordon Food Service.
Pricing is structured around operating scale. Solo costs $199 per location per month and includes dish-level P&L, all POS integrations, QuickBooks and Xero, unlimited invoice OCR, Monday SMS, and email support. Group costs $149 per location per month, requires 2–10 locations, and adds multi-location roll-ups, per-GM SMS routing, a supplier switching desk, quarterly analyst review, and priority support. Operator includes a dedicated analyst, SSO and SCIM, custom integrations, and on-site training, with outcome-based pricing available. A 14-day trial is available. DishMath suits operators who want detailed profitability decisions across menu, labor, and suppliers; businesses seeking a free plan or simpler reporting should look elsewhere.
