DineLabs connects restaurant invoice workflows with inventory tracking and recipe costing. Operators can upload PDFs, photograph paper invoices, or forward vendor emails; extracted invoice lines go through review before approval. Approved lines create inventory receipt movements, and ingredient price changes update recipe and sub-recipe costs. The product is aimed at small and mid-market restaurant operators focused on food costs and invoice handling, rather than teams seeking a broad procurement or multi-location management system.
Invoice review is the core of the workflow: extraction includes duplicate checks and price flags, with human review before approval. That makes the handoff from vendor paperwork to an auditable inventory ledger central to the product’s scope. CSV import supports inventory items and recipes. Toast and Clover sales mapping connects POS sales to recipes for theoretical ingredient usage and variance comparisons, which can help operators compare expected usage with physical counts. This combination is most relevant to restaurants that want invoice capture, recipe-cost updates, and sales-to-usage comparisons in one web-based system.
DineLabs also prepares and synchronizes bills with QuickBooks Online, though that capability is in controlled rollout. Procurement is not part of its feature set, and multi-location rollups are planned rather than currently available, so operators needing purchasing workflows or consolidated reporting should consider a broader back-office alternative. The vendor offers email support and uses cloud deployment. Pricing is handled through contact with sales, making DineLabs a fit to evaluate for teams centered on invoice-to-cost workflows, but less suited to buyers who need broad operational coverage or immediately available multi-unit reporting.
