DeepQuill is a desktop novel-writing environment for authors developing long-form manuscripts on Windows or macOS. Its workspace organizes parts, chapters, and scenes in a structured manuscript tree, while the Codex tracks characters and locations with aliases and linked references. Planning canvases cover story structure, beats, and pacing, making the product suited to writers who want project analysis and continuity tools alongside their drafting workspace.

The standout feature is its project-level organization. Entity relationship constellation views connect story elements visually, while semantic search and find-and-replace work across the project. Snapshots support draft comparison and restoration, and optional AI analysis can examine existing writing for entities, relationships, structure, and traits. The AI can run locally or through a configured provider, but it does not generate prose, and rewrite controls are not listed. DeepQuill also connects with Google Drive, Google Docs, and OpenRouter, while supporting imports from Scrivener, Word, Markdown, and plain text.

DeepQuill uses a paid model with one listed plan, named DeepQuill, covering the full desktop application, editor, Codex, structure, planning, search, snapshots, local AI analysis, and import/export workflows. A 14-day trial is available, and the app is free during open beta. Export options include Word, EPUB, FB2, and PDF, with TXT and Google Docs also represented in the category specifications. Choose DeepQuill if you want a desktop-first system for manuscript structure, continuity, and revision history. Writers primarily seeking AI-generated prose or rewrite controls should choose a different type of writing tool.
