Our verdict on Deejaysystem
Deejaysystem is a Windows desktop DJ software suite for professional DJs, clubs, pubs, discos, and other venues. Its two products cover different workflows: Audio Mk2 provides dual-deck audio playback and mixing, while Video VJ2 adds video and karaoke playback. Both focus on live or automated sessions, with playlists, song search, cue points, and external controller support. The product is a fit for Windows-based operators who need straightforward playback and mixing rather than a cloud-connected DJ environment.
The freemium model gives prospective users access to downloadable evaluation versions, while the listed paid plans are Deejaysystem Audio Mk2 at EUR 59 and Deejaysystem Video VJ2 at EUR 149. Audio Mk2 includes two independent audio decks, PFL monitoring, a playlist editor with auto-mix and auto-fade, a searchable song database, and up to 10 cue points per track. Video VJ2 adds dual audio, video, and karaoke playback, audio/video crossfading, six video mixing effects, multiple-screen output, live camera support, and internet stream support. The evaluation limit is 30 minutes per session.
Its strongest distinction is the breadth of playback formats in a desktop package: audio, video, karaoke, automatic playback, shuffle, and Mix Now are combined with MIDI and hardware controller support. Integrations with iTunes and MP3 Collector support library workflows, while multi-screen output suits venues that need visual content alongside music. The trade-off is platform and feature scope. Deejaysystem runs on Windows only, and its listed capabilities do not include verified stems, DVS, or cloud features. Choose it for Windows-based audio/video/karaoke sessions and venue playback; choose an alternative if those omitted capabilities or broader platform support are central requirements.
