DeckScript review
A focused AI deck workspace for technical presentations with code, charts, and diagrams.

DeckScript is a local-first presentation workspace for technical presenters who want AI assistance without giving up canvas-level editing. Users describe a talk, review a prompt-generated outline, approve a design system, and refine slides on a 16:9 canvas. Its content blocks support runnable code, Mermaid diagrams, ECharts charts, KaTeX mathematics, and Markdown, making it suited to engineering talks, technical demos, and analytical presentations.
The published plans divide capacity, templates, AI generation, synchronization, and team administration. Free includes up to 3 presentations per account, the full canvas editor and content blocks, local and cloud storage, presenter mode, and PDF export. Starter adds unlimited presentations, a template gallery, a template editor, and limited AI slide generations. Pro raises the AI slide-generation limit substantially, adds cloud sync across devices, enables template AI generation, and includes self-service Stripe billing. Team adds shared workspaces, reusable brand systems, roles and permissions, and centralized billing.
DeckScript’s standout strength is the combination of AI outlining with structured, technical slide content. Rather than limiting presentations to text and images, it provides native building blocks for code, diagrams, charts, mathematics, and Markdown, while presenter mode adds speaker notes for delivery. The tradeoff is a focused workflow: it runs on the web, exports to PDF, and is better aligned with technical deck authoring than broad document-to-presentation conversion. Choose it for code-rich talks and locally controlled editing; choose another tool if PPTX output or document conversion is central to your workflow.
