DearFlip review
A flexible flipbook tool with a free WordPress tier and paid reader controls.

DearFlip turns PDFs and images into digital publications, with WordPress, JavaScript, Joomla, Shopify, Windows, and Chrome editions. Its WordPress plugin is aimed at site owners who want to publish flipbooks on their own site, while Lite offers unlimited flipbooks and several viewing styles at no charge. Readers can view pages in 2D or 3D, use vertical scroll or slider modes, and access outlines and categories. The format suits small sites that want a free way to present documents interactively; teams needing broad integrations or extensive support may want to compare alternatives.
The product’s feature depth is centered on presentation and reader controls. Flipbooks can be embedded or opened in popup lightboxes, and WordPress publications can include a table of contents, categories, and PDF download controls. Starter adds PDF links, global settings, PDF search and print, and control customization. Pro adds a spiral 3D flipbook, calendar mode, bookshelf, and basic Google Analytics event tracking. The PDF download button can be shown or hidden, so publishers can choose whether readers may save the source PDF. Google Analytics and MonsterInsights are the named integrations.
Pricing depends on the edition. WordPress plans include Lite, Starter, Pro, Pro 5 Sites, and Pro 30 Sites; paid feature sets build from reader controls toward Pro’s additional layouts and analytics, with multi-site licenses available. JavaScript plans are separate: according to the vendor’s pricing page, Single Site costs $49 per site per year, 3 Sites costs $79 per year, and 15 Sites costs $199 per year; each includes a JavaScript plugin plus one year of updates and support. A 30-day refund period is listed. Choose DearFlip when its publishing modes and self-hosted WordPress approach fit your site; look elsewhere if support beyond documentation or a wider integration set is central to your decision.
