Datarails is a cloud-based financial planning and analysis platform for finance leaders and FP&A teams. Its core fit is organizations that want structured budgeting, forecasting and reporting without abandoning Excel models. The platform combines Excel desktop and web editing with dashboards, reports, PowerPoint outputs and collaboration features. It also supports budget-versus-actual reporting, scenario planning, rolling forecasts, approval workflows, reviewer routing, version control, audit trails and permissions.

Its breadth is a key strength for finance teams managing multiple entities or data sources. Datarails supports currency translation and intercompany eliminations, alongside consolidation, financial and operational data connections, and AI-powered financial analysis and insights. Integrations include Oracle NetSuite, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce, Snowflake, SAP Business One, Power BI, Workday, ADP, Paychex and Yardi. The combination suits teams that need accounting, ERP, CRM, HR and analytics data brought into planning workflows. Teams seeking only a narrow spreadsheet budgeting tool may not need this wider FP&A scope.

The published plan structure is quote-based. FinanceOS Professional includes full reporting, planning and dashboards, Data Mapper, Lookups and Workflows, the Datarails AI Suite and FinanceOS AI Connector, the full consolidation suite, one integration and two users. Premium adds AI Storyboards, a second integration, five users and premium support, while Expert adds an additional product, three integrations, 15 users and premium support. There is no free plan, and the Budget Module is not enabled by default. Datarails is best suited to finance teams that value Excel continuity, governance and connected planning; organizations wanting transparent self-serve pricing or a simpler standalone budgeting tool should look elsewhere.
