It supports documents, graphics, audio, video, presentations and coursework, along with reflections, collections, presentations and learning-objective items. Learners can share items with peers, mentors, employers or other authorized users, while educators and reviewers can contribute comments, assessments and rubric-based feedback. Web and iOS access support both browser-based and mobile portfolio work.

Assessment and feedback are central strengths. Portfolio items can be submitted to Brightspace assignments for assessment, connecting learner evidence with an existing Brightspace workflow. Sharing groups provide permission management, and users can organize, search, sort and filter portfolio items as collections grow. The tool also supports presentation export as HTML, which gives learners a way to present portfolio content beyond the portfolio environment.
