Cyph is an encrypted communication and collaboration service for individuals, teams, and telehealth providers. It combines end-to-end encrypted messaging, group communication, voice and video calling, scheduled meetings, file sharing, encrypted cloud storage, cross-device synchronization, and secure notes. The service is available through web, desktop, and mobile apps, with support for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android. Its feature set suits users who want private communication and collaboration in one service rather than a messaging-only app.
The plan structure covers a wide range of needs. Free includes encrypted messaging, groups, 500 MB of encrypted cloud storage, voice and video calling for Inner Circle contacts, and secure notes. Supporter adds 5 GB of storage and unlimited invites at $3 per month billed annually or $6 billed monthly. Premium raises storage to 100 GB and includes voice and video calling with unlimited Inner Circle contacts at $9 annually or $12 monthly. Platinum provides 1 TB of storage at $27 annually or $48 monthly. Small Team costs $10 per user per month billed annually and adds encrypted group messaging, calling, group video, screen sharing, and notes.
Cyph’s standout strength is breadth within an encrypted environment. Castle protocol features include automatic mutual authentication, asynchronous messaging, and post-quantum cryptographic primitives, while burner chats provide an ephemeral communication option. HIPAA compliance and email and phone support broaden its fit for professional use. The trade-off is that the broadest storage and collaboration options require higher tiers, and the product may be more than needed for someone seeking only basic private messaging. Choose Cyph for communication, meetings, storage, and notes across devices; consider a narrower option if those additional capabilities are unnecessary.
