Our verdict on Cursive: Learn Cursive

Cursive: Learn Cursive is a tracing-based handwriting practice app for learners working on cursive letters and words. It includes uppercase and lowercase practice, animated stroke-order guidance, and word exercises in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese. Learners can also enter custom words and phrases, making it suitable for children, students, or adults who want structured cursive practice on iOS, Android, or macOS-listed devices.

The free plan provides cursive tracing, uppercase and lowercase letters, and word practice. The Pro upgrade costs $2.99 as a one-time purchase according to the published plan, and it unlocks all features while removing ads. The app also includes adjustable example font and size settings, pen and eraser tools with thickness and color controls, zooming, and dark mode. That combination gives learners control over how tracing exercises look and how writing practice is marked on screen.

Cursive: Learn Cursive is a focused choice for buyers who want inexpensive guided practice rather than a broad handwriting curriculum. Its strongest feature set is the combination of animated stroke guidance, multilingual word practice, and custom typed exercises. The main trade-off is its narrow cursive focus, so learners seeking print, block-letter, or other writing modes should consider a different app. Mac support is listed, while the App Store identifies the app as designed for iPad and not verified for macOS. Choose it for simple cursive tracing across Apple devices, with Android availability as an added option; skip it if detailed progress tracking or broader writing coverage is a priority.
