Crypho is a team messaging and collaboration service for organizations with elevated privacy and security requirements. It supports encrypted one-to-one and group conversations, file sharing, voice and video calls, contact management, and optional Norwegian BankID identification. Web, Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android apps give small teams several ways to access the service. The free plan makes it suitable for basic encrypted collaboration, while Enterprise is aimed at organizations needing more control and external participation.

The plan structure is clear, but the paid step is substantial. Free includes end-to-end encryption, encrypted calls and video calls, files up to 3 MB, and one group. Pro Plan costs €379 per month and raises file limits to 100 MB, supports up to 25 team members and 100 groups, and adds content export. Enterprise includes files up to 2 GB, unlimited groups, content export, external guests, and an optional on-premise server. Teams should compare the Pro scope carefully with their collaboration needs before committing to the monthly price.

Security is Crypho’s defining focus: end-to-end encryption is provided across messaging, group rooms, file sharing, and calls, with two-factor authentication also available. Enterprise extends the model with guest access and optional on-premise deployment. The trade-off is a narrower collaboration surface than teams may expect from a broader workplace suite, particularly for organizations that depend on integrations or larger built-in workflows. Choose Crypho for encrypted core communication across multiple platforms; choose an alternative if integrations or expansive collaboration features matter more than privacy-focused messaging.
