CrowdStrike Falcon AIDR monitors AI activity across browsers, applications, gateways and cloud platforms, analyzing prompts, responses and related metadata. It is aimed at enterprise security teams that need runtime visibility and policy controls for AI applications and agents, including MCP use. The product page currently presents the AIDR solution under the Falcon Guardian name, so buyers should account for that naming when evaluating it.

Its controls cover prompt injection, jailbreak attempts, confidential information, personally identifiable information, sensitive credentials and harmful content. Teams can configure detections to be reported, transformed or blocked, with options including redaction, masking, encryption and defanging. Dashboards and detailed logs record prompts, responses, metadata, detections and actions. This breadth suits organizations seeking both detection and response controls; teams looking only for a narrow output filter may prefer a more focused tool.

Integration is a significant part of the fit: AIDR collects activity from gateways and cloud platforms and lists Apigee, Azure API Management, Kong, LiteLLM, Portkey, TrueFoundry, JetStream, AWS and OpenTelemetry among its integrations. Logs can also feed Falcon Next-Gen SIEM, which is relevant to teams already working with that product. Pricing is handled through sales rather than published plans. Falcon AIDR is therefore a stronger fit for enterprises seeking broad runtime coverage and integration with their existing security stack than for buyers who need transparent self-serve pricing or a deployment model other than cloud.

CrowdStrike Falcon AIDR pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • Detects prompt injection, jailbreaks and sensitive information
    • Can report, transform or block detections, with redaction and masking
    • Monitors MCP interactions and integrates logs with Falcon Next-Gen SIEM
  • Where it doesn't
    • Pricing requires contacting sales
    • Cloud deployment may not suit teams requiring another deployment model
    • Falcon Guardian is the current name used for the AIDR offering
