    Compliance Without the Headache

In a manufacturing environment with over 100 staff, disciplinary cases come up often, and getting the process wrong can be costly. CromaHR's case management gives us a structured path for every case, covering notice, hearing and outcome, so we follow due process every time, whichever HR officer is handling it. Our unfair dismissal exposure has dropped noticeably because each decision is backed by a clear, dated record. It has also given our team a shared standard for how cases are handled, which used to depend heavily on individual experience.

    Pros
    • A step-by-step workflow keeps disciplinary processes fair and legally sound.
    • Automatic timestamps and activity logs make every action traceable.
    • Case types such as misconduct, grievance and harassment can each follow their own process.
    • Easy search and filtering let us pull up any past case in seconds.
    • It links well with the rest of CromaHR, so leave, attendance and payroll records are right there when a case needs them.
    Cons
    • The reporting filters could offer more flexibility for custom analysis.
    • Notifications can feel excessive until you adjust the settings.
    • Staff who are new to the system need some time before they are comfortable with the full workflow.

Finally, one place for every HR case

Before CromaHR, our disciplinary and grievance cases lived in email threads, Word files and whoever happened to remember the details. The case management module changed that. Every case now has a single record: the complaint, the people involved, investigation notes, supporting documents, hearing dates and the final outcome. When a manager asks where a matter stands, I can answer in seconds instead of digging through inboxes. What I value most is the audit trail. Each action is time-stamped and tied to a user, so if a decision is ever challenged, we can show exactly what was done, when and by whom. That gives me real confidence that we're following due process and staying on the right side of labour law. Setup was straightforward and the team picked it up quickly. There's still room to grow, but for us it has turned case handling from a scramble into a clear, consistent proces

    Pros
    • All case details, documents and notes in one record
    • Clear, time-stamped audit trail for every action
    • Makes it easier to follow due process consistently
    • Quick to find the status of any open case
    • Easy for HR staff and managers to learn
    Cons
    • Reporting on case trends could be more detailed
    • Would like more customisable case templates
