Cradle review
A low-cost web option for small lease portfolios with broad accounting coverage.

Cradle is web-based lease accounting software for finance and accounting teams managing lease portfolios. It supports lessee and lessor accounting across IFRS 16, ASC 842, GASB 87, GASB 96, and FRS 102 workflows. Its scope covers present-value and lease-liability calculations, modification accounting and history, automated journal entries, disclosures, financial statements, consolidated reporting, foreign-exchange accounting, configurable fields, permissions, notifications, and general-ledger exports. That makes it a fit for small teams that need formal lease reporting without a large monthly starting price, as well as organizations with parent-subsidiary structures.
Pricing is straightforward for smaller portfolios. The Small Plan costs $99 per month and supports up to 10 agreements, unlimited users, customer support, disclosures and journals, and parent/subsidiary reporting. The Regular Plan costs $199 per month and raises the portfolio limit to 20 leases while retaining unlimited users, customer support, disclosures and journals, and parent/subsidiary reporting. A 30-day trial is available. Enterprise is intended for larger portfolios, covering 20–10,000+ agreements and adding training and onboarding, an audit trail, private servers, and custom solutions. Its pricing is handled through sales.
Cradle’s strongest advantage is breadth within lease accounting: calculations, modifications, reporting, consolidation, foreign exchange, and configurable management fields are covered in one web-based product. The trade-off is fit at the edges. Small organizations with more than 10 agreements will need the Regular Plan or Enterprise, while teams requiring a desktop or non-web deployment should look elsewhere. Enterprise buyers may value private servers, audit trails, and custom solutions, but the sales-led pricing makes direct cost comparison less immediate. Choose Cradle for a small or growing portfolio and broad accounting workflows; avoid it when a web-only platform or a very narrow, simpler workflow does not match your requirements.
