CortexHub Security review
A cloud control plane for enforcing policies and auditing AI-agent tool use.

CortexHub Security is a cloud control plane for governing AI agents and AI-assisted tool use. It is aimed at mid-market and enterprise teams that need to control agents connected to business workflows, including through MCP. External clients such as Claude, Cursor, and ChatGPT can connect through its gateway, alongside hosted co-workers and organization agents. The central premise is to evaluate controls before a tool executes, rather than rely only on reviewing activity afterward.
Its strongest fit is runtime governance paired with sensitive-data controls. Server-side policies run before tool execution; teams can limit access with group and toolkit controls, keep OAuth tokens and API keys in a credential vault, and detect and redact PII, secrets, or custom patterns. High-risk actions can require human approval. Audit events are hash-chained and tamper-evident, with offline verification, and calls can be attributed to end users. These controls address a practical set of agent risks, but the product details do not establish prompt-injection defense, so teams prioritizing that specific protection should assess alternatives or verify coverage directly.
For ecosystem fit, CortexHub lists connections including Slack, GitHub, Jira, Notion, Google Drive, Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk, Stripe, and Shopify, as well as Python SDK and REST Platform API connectivity. It is cloud-deployed and available through web and API. Pricing is customized and requires contacting sales, making it less suited to buyers who need public plan pricing to compare options. CortexHub says its practices are SOC 2-aligned, with certification in progress; that is not a formal compliance certification. Choose it when centralized policies, credential handling, approvals, and verifiable audit records are priorities; look elsewhere if deployment choice or a completed certification is a requirement.
CortexHub Security pros and cons
- Where it wins
- Evaluates server-side policies before tools execute, with approval for high-risk actions
- Vaults credentials and can redact PII, secrets, and custom-pattern matches
- Hash-chained audit records support offline verification
- Where it doesn't
- Custom pricing requires contacting sales rather than comparing public plans
- Cloud deployment may not suit teams requiring another deployment model
- SOC 2 certification is in progress; no formal certification is claimed
