ControlHub is procurement and procure-to-pay software for growing organizations that need structured purchasing controls. It brings purchase requisitions, configurable approvals, purchase orders, receiving, invoice matching, payments, supplier management, purchasing cards, catalogs, and spend visibility into one workflow. Small teams can use it to centralize requests and enforce purchasing policies without starting with a large enterprise deployment. Its web-based administration tools are complemented by a Slack integration.

The pricing structure creates a clear progression. The free offering is a Slack-based app with unlimited purchase requests and requester users. The Approvals Plan costs $249 per month and adds five advanced users, team structures and categories, custom approval flows, dashboards, and reports. At $599 per month, the Purchasing Plan includes those capabilities plus automatic PO generation, receiving, virtual and physical cards, receipts collection, and multiple currencies. The Full P2P or Custom Plan adds budget management, inventory management, invoice and bill management, accounting or ERP synchronization, enterprise SSO, and vendor integrations. A 30-day free trial is also available.

ControlHub’s strongest fit is for teams that want a defined route from request to approval and purchasing, with room to expand into receiving and payment workflows. Its feature set covers both requisition-led purchasing and catalog-based buying through shopping-cart and PunchOut imports, while integrations include Slack, QuickBooks, NetSuite, Amazon, McMaster, Digi-Key, and Uline. The trade-off is breadth: the platform is web-only, and the named integration set is narrower than organizations with extensive ecosystem requirements may prefer. Teams needing deeper budget, inventory, invoice, or ERP capabilities should evaluate the custom plan; teams seeking a wider platform footprint may prefer an alternative.

ControlHub pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • Free Slack-based purchasing option with unlimited requests and requesters
    • Custom approval flows, policy controls, budgets, and spend analytics
    • Purchasing plan adds POs, receiving, cards, receipts, and multiple currencies
  • Where it doesn't
    • Web-only platform limits device and platform coverage
    • Named integrations are limited to a focused set of tools and suppliers
    • Budget, inventory, invoice, and ERP sync features require the custom plan
