Comgate is an online payment gateway for e-shops that need card payments alongside local bank transfers, digital wallets and other payment methods. Its fit is strongest for small and midsize merchants serving Central Europe: it supports familiar card and wallet options as well as locally relevant methods, and accepts payments in nine currencies. Merchants can choose among Start, Easy, Profi and Custom arrangements, with transaction-based pricing rather than a fixed monthly starting price.

Checkout flexibility and payment operations are notable strengths. A merchant can present checkout through redirect, embedded window, pop-up or Checkout SDK, and can connect via API with sample requests for CURL, PHP, Java and Python. Recurring card payments are available through the API or manual entry in the client portal. Payout frequency can be set to daily, weekly or monthly, and merchants can apply their branding to the gateway appearance. Shopify is the named e-shop integration, so merchants relying on a different platform should check how much API or SDK work their implementation requires.

The plans differ mainly in their fees. Start uses transaction-based fees and waives card fees for payments up to CZK 50,000 per month during the first six calendar months after signing. Easy publishes EU consumer debit and credit card fees of 1% + 0 CZK; Profi lists 0.67% + 1 CZK for those cards. For both Easy and Profi, the monthly service fee is free above CZK 100,000 in monthly payment volume; below that, the price list states free or 100 CZK. Custom fees are for merchants processing over CZK 3 million monthly. Comgate is a practical option when its local methods and checkout choices match a merchant's market; merchants needing a broad named integration ecosystem or continuously available support should compare alternatives, as 24/7 support is not offered.
