College EssAI review
A guided admissions essay coach for brainstorming, revision, feedback, and progress tracking.

College EssAI is a web-based writing coach for students developing personal statements and supplemental college essays. It supports the process from brainstorming and topic exploration through guided outlining, freewriting, revision suggestions, and feedback. Its positioning emphasizes guidance rather than ghostwriting: the product says it does not generate original essay content for students. Independent educational consultants are also a target audience, with tools for inviting students, commenting on drafts, tracking progress, and exporting PDF portfolios.
The freemium structure includes a free plan, while the published category details show a starting price of 29. All Access plans are offered for 6 months, 3 months, or 1 month and include personal statement tools plus Supplement Booster. Starter, Advanced, and Premier include full student essay access, targeted feedback commenting, real-time notifications, and email alerts and digests. The plan lineup gives students and consultants several access periods and feature tiers, but individual plan prices are not specified here.
Its strongest fit is admissions-focused coaching rather than broad academic writing. Personalized brainstorming prompts, guided outlines, supplemental essay assistance, inline feedback, and progress tracking keep the workflow centered on developing and refining application materials. The independent educational consultant dashboard adds a collaboration layer for advisors managing student work. College EssAI should suit students who want structured help while retaining ownership of their ideas, and consultants who need shared review and portfolio export. Students looking for research-paper support, citation-focused writing, or a non-web platform should choose a different type of tool.
