CMDBLD review
An all-in-one contractor platform pairing AI estimating with accounting, payroll and field operations.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
CMDBLD combines construction management, accounting and payroll for general, specialty and trade contractors. Its scope spans AI estimating and material takeoffs, project and phase job costing, double-entry general ledger, invoicing, retainage workflows, job-costed payroll, CRM, client portals and cash-flow reporting. Field crews can access GPS time tracking, daily logs, RFIs and punch lists from phones through mobile web, without an app-store installation. It fits contractors seeking one system across office finance, project controls and field coordination.
Pricing is split between a limited Bid Responder plan at $29 per month and Command plans. Bid Responder covers a contractor-network profile, GC bid invitations, bid packages and messaging. Command Trade costs $899 monthly and adds AI estimating, takeoff, invoicing, payments, AIA pay applications, lien waivers, dispatch, scheduling, crew time tracking, job-costed payroll and HR compliance. Command Start is $1,400 monthly for the complete platform, AI agents, offline field operations, full accounting, payroll, client portal and CRM. Command Core is $2,700 monthly with guided onboarding, a white-label portal, phone and email support; Command Pro is $4,400 with unlimited users and priority support; Command Enterprise is $6,000 with SSO/SAML, an SLA guarantee, a dedicated success manager and consolidated multi-entity reporting. Annual totals shown are $14,000 for Command Start and $27,000 for Command Core, with stated user limits.
Integration coverage connects CMDBLD with QuickBooks Online, Xero, Stripe, Plaid, CompanyCam, Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, Microsoft 365, Autodesk Construction Cloud, DocuSign, Slack, Twilio, Gusto and Google Calendar. That ecosystem supports accounting migration, payments, document storage, signatures, communications and scheduling. The platform's breadth is useful when retainage, certified payroll, change orders and cash forecasting need to share project data, but buyers focused only on bookkeeping may find the Command tiers broader and more expensive than necessary. Teams needing native app-store applications should also assess the mobile-web approach before choosing CMDBLD.
