Cloudflare Agent Memory is a managed cloud service for adding durable memory to AI agents. It supports scoped profiles for users, agents, teams, tenants, and application entities, with namespaces that separate applications, environments, and memory layers. Conversations can be processed to extract facts, events, instructions, and tasks, while explicit memories can be created through remember APIs. The service fits teams building Cloudflare-based agent applications through Workers bindings or an HTTP API.

The published offering is currently free and in private beta, with no billing at this stage. Cloudflare says it will provide at least 30 days' notice before charging begins. Access is API-based, and the deployment model is cloud. Documentation is the listed support channel, so teams should be prepared to handle integration and operational work through the available technical materials rather than a broader support model.

Memory access is the standout capability. Retrieval combines semantic search using vector embeddings with keyword, topic-key, and raw-message searches, while recall can return synthesized answers grounded in stored memories. Profile summaries and APIs to list, retrieve, and delete memories, sessions, and profiles provide lifecycle control. Enterprises that want structured, persistent memory with multiple retrieval paths should consider it; teams needing self-hosted deployment, a generally available release, or support beyond documentation should evaluate alternatives.

Cloudflare Agent Memory pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • Scoped profiles and namespaces isolate users, teams, tenants, and applications
    • Automatic extraction captures facts, events, instructions, and tasks
    • Semantic, keyword, topic-key, and synthesized recall support varied retrieval needs
  • Where it doesn't
    • Private beta status adds uncertainty for production planning
    • Cloud-only deployment limits self-hosting options
    • API-focused access requires integration work in your application
