ClockRota is browser-based staff scheduling software for UK pubs, cafés, restaurants and other hospitality venues. It brings together visual rota building, automatic push and email alerts, employee shift swaps with manager approval, clock-in and clock-out tracking, attendance statistics and CSV payroll exports. Staff can access it from phones, tablets and computers, making it suited to very small teams that need a straightforward shared rota rather than a broader workforce management system.

Pricing is currently tied to the product’s public beta: all features are unlocked at no cost during that period. After the beta, the published plan is £9 per month for up to five staff, with every feature included and a 30-day free trial. The plan also specifies planned pricing after the public beta. This makes the product’s appeal clearest for small venues whose staffing needs fit within the five-person limit and that want scheduling, attendance and payroll exports without separate feature tiers.

ClockRota’s strongest focus is the day-to-day rota workflow. Managers can build schedules visually, notify staff automatically, approve swaps and review attendance, while payroll data can be exported as CSV. The trade-off is a narrow platform and feature scope: access is currently browser-based, with no native mobile apps, integrations, availability management or automated scheduling. ClockRota should suit a very small hospitality team that values basic browser scheduling and attendance records. Larger or more operationally complex teams should look for broader integration, availability and automation coverage.
