ClickUp is a work management platform for teams that need to organize projects, tasks, documentation, goals, and reporting in one environment. Its task system supports assignees, statuses, priorities, dates, subtasks, checklists, comments, and attachments, while teams can structure work through Spaces, Folders, Lists, and Tasks. List, Board, Calendar, Gantt, and Timeline views support different planning styles. Guest access, permission-controlled sharing, and linked Goals and Targets also suit teams coordinating work across departments.
The freemium pricing model gives teams a Free Forever plan with 60MB of storage, unlimited tasks, unlimited free plan members, Collaborative Docs, Kanban Boards, and Sprint Management. The Unlimited plan is listed at $7 per user per month with annual billing and adds unlimited Spaces, Folders, Forms, Gantt Charts, Integrations, Storage, and Custom Fields, plus native time tracking. Business is listed at $12 per user per month with annual billing and adds advanced dashboard cards, unlimited Message History, Activity Views, and Timeline Views, alongside webhooks, automation integrations, and 5K automations per month.
ClickUp’s breadth is its defining strength. Workflow automations use triggers, conditions, and actions; Dashboards support reporting; Docs and wikis provide collaborative documentation; and ClickUp Brain adds AI features. Integrations include Slack, GitHub, GitLab, Zapier, HubSpot, Google Drive, Figma, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Intercom, and Zendesk, with API access and webhooks for wider connections. The platform is available on web, Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, and Chrome. Teams wanting broad project control should consider ClickUp; those needing only a narrow task list may find its range unnecessary. Enterprise adds permissions and governance, custom roles, SAML SSO, SCIM Provisioning, audit logs, session management, and an Enterprise API.
