Cleus brings chat and autonomous agent workflows together for solo users who want help with research, coding, document work, and creative tasks. Its agent can search and browse the live web, chain tools, and produce cited reports from iterative research. It can also write and execute code in a sandbox, read common document and image formats, analyze CSV and XLSX files, and create charts. Image and video generation, voice conversations, long-term memory across chats, Cleus Studio, public discussions in Cleus Threads, and a developer API broaden its scope beyond a conventional chatbot.

The free plan includes AI chat with the Cleus Agent, web search and everyday tools, access to read and join Threads, and community support. Premium costs $9.95 per month and adds higher usage limits, end-to-end encrypted chats, unlimited Story Mode and premium creative tools, plus priority access to new features. A separate Credits & API option starts at $10 for 1,000 prepaid credits; API usage is charged per token or media from that balance. This gives occasional users a way to start without a subscription, while frequent use of higher limits or creative tools may make Premium more relevant.

Cleus is a fit for an individual who values having research, code execution, file analysis, data charts, and media generation in one service. The breadth may be useful for varied solo workflows, but it does not provide a verified team workspace or integrations to anchor it in a broader software stack. Its mobile experience is an installable web app, not an App Store or Google Play app. Choose Cleus for its range of agent tasks and media features; consider another option if collaboration, established integrations, or a native store-distributed mobile app is central to the decision.

Cleus pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • Combines sourced web research, sandboxed code execution, and file analysis
    • Creates images and video, supports voice, and analyzes spreadsheet data
    • Free plan includes AI chat, web search, everyday tools, and Threads
  • Where it doesn't
    • No verified integrations or team workspace
    • Premium is needed for higher usage limits and some creative features
    • Mobile access is an installable web app rather than an App Store or Google Play app
