Our verdict on Claper

Claper is an open-source audience interaction platform for presenters, educators, companies, event organizers, and public-sector teams. It supports web-based audience participation around PDF or PowerPoint presentations, with live polls, questions, quizzes, forms, embedded web content, moderation, reports, transcription, and live captions. Hosted cloud service and self-hosted deployment give teams a choice between per-event pricing and installing the software on their own server.

The published plans use per-event pricing. Small costs €0 per event for up to 10 attendees, with a 5 MB presentation limit and unlimited interactions. Medium costs €2.49 per event for up to 100 attendees and adds a 30 MB presentation limit, data exports, event reports, and team presentation management. Large costs €4.49 per event for up to 200 attendees with a 100 MB limit, while Huge costs €6.99 per event for up to 500 attendees and allows presentations up to 300 MB. The paid tiers retain unlimited interactions and include exports, reports, and team presentation management.

Claper’s strongest fit is event interaction rather than broad event management: its feature set concentrates on audience responses, content delivery, moderation, and accessibility. Google Slides, Moodle, and OpenID Connect are listed integrations, and self-hosting with Docker may suit organizations that want control over deployment.
