Chordbot is a mobile songwriting app and backing-track generator from Contrasonic AB for writers who want to shape chord progressions, arrangements, and demos on iOS or Android. Its core workflow centers on selecting chords, adjusting roots, inversions, octaves, and slash chords, then combining sections and instrument patterns into a playable arrangement. Song-O-Matic can generate chord progressions, while real-time playback helps users review the result as they edit it.
The product’s strongest area is chord and accompaniment depth. Chordbot supports more than 60 chord types, 400+ mixable instrument tracks, and 70+ comping-style presets covering piano, guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, and synth sounds. Repeatable song sections support structured arrangements rather than isolated chord sequences. For further editing or sharing, the app supports MIDI, WAV, native song, and backup export, and users can share or import native song files between users. These capabilities make it a practical fit for chord-led sketches and backing tracks, but it is not designed for writing lyrics or developing melodies, and it has no AI features.
