A deep foodservice suite for established operators managing costing, inventory, and purchasing.

ChefTec is foodservice management software from Culinary Software Services for restaurants, caterers, hotels, clubs, and other commercial kitchens. It brings recipe and menu costing together with ingredient control, purchasing, nutritional analysis, production management, sales analysis, and waste or lot tracking. Recipe scaling by portion size or yield supports changing batch requirements, while menu engineering and profitability analysis help operators review the financial performance of dishes. Its editions are aimed at single-profit-center operations, small foodservice businesses, and larger or multi-unit operations.
The three editions add progressively broader operational coverage. ChefTec Basic includes recipe and menu costing, physical inventory extension taking, basic nutritional analysis, and manual purchasing and ordering. ChefTec Plus adds inventory control, sales analysis, up to five profit centers, and links for POS, vendor ordering, and QuickBooks. ChefTec Ultra adds inventory and production management, menu engineering, a food-cost calculator, lot and waste tracking, and multi-location inventory tracking. This plan structure makes the product relevant to operators deciding whether they need core costing or a wider control system.
ChefTec’s ecosystem is a practical fit for foodservice teams that already depend on connected purchasing, accounting, and operational systems. Listed integrations include QuickBooks, Caterease, Jonas POS, Sysco, US Foods, Performance Foodservice, Reinhart Foodservice, UNFI, and Mettler Toledo scales. The software is offered on premises with optional cloud services and integrations. Established operators needing traditional depth across costing, inventory, purchasing, and production should consider ChefTec; smaller teams seeking a narrow costing tool may find its broader operational scope unnecessary.
