CheckHacks is an open-source, server-side Minecraft plugin for identifying client-side mods and hack clients without requiring players to install a client mod. It is designed for solo, small, and mid-market server operators running Paper, Spigot, or Folia on Minecraft 1.21+. Detection coverage includes client-side mods, hack clients, anti-cheat flags, and abnormal or blocked client responses. Its positioning is focused: it adds client and mod verification rather than acting as a complete movement and combat anti-cheat.

The plugin uses Sign Translation Vulnerability-based checks through METEOR, TRANSLATE, and KEYBIND detection modes. Checks can run automatically when a player joins or after an anti-cheat flag, and configurable custom mod detection supports more specific server rules. Detection results can trigger custom commands and alerts, with DETECTED and PROTECTED result states available for enforcement and monitoring. SQLite scan history and replay analysis add a record of past detection activity, while the browser-based web editor provides a separate way to manage configuration.

CheckHacks is always free and open source, with self-hosted deployment and no paid plan structure described. Its integration list includes Grim, Vulcan, Spartan, Matrix, Discord, and PlaceholderAPI, giving it a practical role alongside an existing anti-cheat stack. Discord webhooks can extend alert delivery beyond the server. Choose CheckHacks when client-mod and hack-client verification is the main requirement, especially when a server already uses a movement or combat anti-cheat. Choose another tool or add broader anti-cheat coverage when the primary need is comprehensive gameplay-behavior detection rather than client inspection.
