ChatbotX is an open-source platform for building automated conversations across WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, Telegram, Zalo, TikTok, email, and web chat. It is suited to businesses, creators, marketers, agencies, and developers that want visual flow design alongside AI agents, human handoff, contact management, and developer access. Teams can choose managed cloud deployment or self-host the platform, with support available through chat, community, and documentation.
The pricing structure covers distinct operating models. Community costs $0 per month and includes one workspace, unlimited bot messages, contacts, channels, and AI agents, with self-hosting. Lite costs $29 per month and adds managed access, 10,000 bot messages, five channels, two team members, and priority chat support. Pro costs $49 per month, raising the allowance to 100,000 bot messages, 10 channels, and five team members. Whitelabel costs $299 per month for 20 workspaces, 2,000,000 bot messages, unlimited channels and team members, plus 24/7 priority support. Enterprise is also listed at $299 per month and adds unlimited workspaces, unlimited bot messages, unlimited team members with RBAC, and audit logs. Managed plans include a 14-day trial that requires a credit card.
Its main strength is breadth: the visual drag-and-drop builder sits alongside AI agents that can use uploaded business documents and structured tools, a shared inbox with assignment and human takeover, CRM fields and segmentation, broadcasts, scheduled sequences, triggers, webhooks, HTTP actions, a public API, CLI, and MCP support. That makes ChatbotX a strong fit for teams coordinating automation across several channels or requiring self-hosted control. It may be less suitable for a small team that needs only one simple chatbot, or for buyers who do not want to manage self-hosting and may find the Lite and Pro channel and seat limits restrictive.
ChatbotX pros and cons

- Where it doesn't
- Lite and Pro plans cap channels and team members
- The 14-day managed-plan trial requires a credit card
- Community is self-hosted rather than a managed cloud plan
