Celas Studio review
A broad desktop toolkit for standalone 2D game animation at a one-time price.

Celas Studio is a desktop 2D animation application for illustrators, animators, and game developers. It brings vector drawing, raster painting, bone rigging, mesh deformation, keyframe animation, camera controls, pixel-art tools, and frame-by-frame cell animation into one project. The result is a broad option for creators who want to draw, rig, animate, and export game-ready assets without focusing on a single animation method.
The Early Access plan costs $69.99 USD as a one-time purchase through Steam and includes free updates through version 2.0. Its strongest feature depth comes from combining bone-based animation with mesh deformation, weighted artwork, dynamics, and wind physics. The keyframe timeline includes a graph editor and easing, while animated cameras and multiplane scenes support more developed 2D compositions. Pixel-art mode and pixel layers add a focused workflow for sprite-oriented projects.
Celas Studio also covers several delivery formats: sprite sheets, PNG sequences, still images, video, GIF, and WebP, with listed formats including PNG, JPEG, BMP, MP4, MOV, WebM, animated WebP, and GIF. Windows and macOS are supported, while Linux is planned. Choose it if you want a standalone 2D workspace with both illustration and rigging capabilities at a single upfront price. Teams that need a mature, release-critical pipeline or a narrower tool dedicated to a specific animation style may prefer an alternative.
