CaseForte is legal practice management software for UK law firms, supporting approximately five to 150 fee earners across litigation, employment, family, immigration, private client, commercial and conveyancing work. It brings matter and case management, document handling, email filing, time recording, billing, client-money accounting, intake, client portals, reporting and workflow automation into one browser-based system. Firms can use vendor-hosted infrastructure or install it on infrastructure they control, while API access supports integration and operational flexibility.
The strongest differentiator is the depth of control across sensitive legal workflows. Matter templates, pipelines, custom fields and conflict checks support structured case management. Document version history, templates, full-text search and OCR address document-heavy work, while Outlook filing and mailbox collection connect Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and IMAP environments. Ethical walls are enforced across searches, reports, exports, APIs and the AI assistant, giving compliance-focused firms a broad boundary for access control. Critical-date tracking, workflow rules and CSV exports add operational oversight.
Financial and client-service coverage is similarly broad. CaseForte includes timers, six-minute units and bulk time entry, plus invoicing, online card payments, write-offs and payment chasing. Client and office accounts, matter-level ledgers and reconciliation are designed around SRA Accounts Rules. Intake forms, lead conversion, conflict checks and a client portal covering matters, shared documents, bills, payments and secure messages extend the system beyond internal administration. Pricing follows a contact-sales model, so firms should expect a sales-led evaluation rather than a self-serve plan comparison. CaseForte fits firms that need strong controls and wide process coverage; practices seeking a narrower, simpler tool may find its scope more than they need.
