Our verdict on CARSOME
CARSOME is an online used-car buying and selling platform serving Malaysia, aimed at shoppers who want to compare vehicles and handle several purchase steps online. Its web and iOS and Android apps let buyers filter dealer listings by price, year, mileage, transmission, color and location. Inspection reports and 360-degree interior and exterior views give shoppers vehicle information before they book. This breadth makes it a fit for mobile-first buyers who value inspection information, test drives and delivery options; it is less suited to people seeking new cars or a purchase flow without an order fee.
The buying process combines browsing with transaction support. Buyers can book a vehicle online by paying an order fee, book a test drive, request financing and insurance options, and trade in a vehicle toward a purchase. They can choose showroom pickup or home delivery where supported; delivery scope varies by location, with free home delivery described within Peninsular Malaysia. Email notifications for cars matching a preferred store or selection can help shoppers keep track of relevant listings. CARSOME Certified and Value Plus listings are available, though inspection and warranty terms depend on vehicle type. Consider the platform if these tools help narrow a used-car search; compare alternatives if you need uniform terms across every listing.
The service is available on web, iOS and Android, with phone and documentation support. Listings are presented without a stated paid subscription, but online booking does involve an order fee, so buyers should distinguish browsing from reserving a car. The combination of vehicle details, test-drive booking, financing requests, trade-ins and pickup or delivery covers much of the shopping journey in one service. Its practical limits are the booking fee and location- and vehicle-dependent terms. CARSOME is a reasonable match for shoppers in Malaysia who want to research and arrange a used-car purchase digitally, but buyers should check delivery availability and the specific vehicle's inspection and warranty terms before proceeding.
