CargoWise review
A broad multimodal platform for complex forwarding, customs, and transport operations.

CargoWise is a logistics execution platform from WiseTech Global for freight forwarders, customs brokers, warehouse operators, carriers, and transport providers. It brings international forwarding, customs, warehousing, land transport, parcel operations, documentation, accounting, shipment visibility, carrier connectivity, and customer portals into one operating environment. Its coverage spans air, ocean, road, rail, and multimodal movements, making it a fit for organizations coordinating complex global logistics workflows rather than a single transport mode.
Pricing is transaction-based, with no free plan. The published plans show an eCommerce Value Pack at $0.20 per package for high-volume, low-value eCommerce clearances. Land Transport Value Packs are $1.45 per consignment for LTL/general freight and $1.95 per container for containerized transport. Forwarding Value Packs include $2.63 per shipment for gateway, transit, transfer, cross-trade, wholesaler, coload master-to-forwarder LCL/LTL/air/non-FCL shipments; $8.35 for export LCL/LTL/air/non-FCL shipments; $13.30 for import LCL/LTL/air/non-FCL shipments; and $19.95 for import FCL/FTL shipments. Customs procedures are priced at $3.28 per formal procedure. This structure aligns charges with transaction type and volume, but requires careful mapping of expected activity to each value pack.
CargoWise’s ecosystem fit is a central strength. It supports automatic load tendering, freight audit and payment workflows, shipment tracking, customer visibility portals, and electronic messaging. Connectivity includes airlines, ocean carriers, customs and port authorities, EDI, REST/API, XML, EDIFACT, iDOC, JSON, and CSV. The platform also includes accounting, invoicing, job costing, payment controls, compliance documentation, and advanced analytics, with AI features listed as available. Choose CargoWise when global, multimodal coverage and connected logistics execution matter; teams seeking a narrower, simpler transport tool may find its scope and transaction structure harder to justify.
