CarbonTool is a web-based carbon accounting platform for organizations measuring, reporting and reducing greenhouse-gas emissions. It covers GHG Protocol Scope 1, 2 and 3 inventories, with manual entry, spreadsheet import, AI-assisted uploads, SAF-T import and API connections. The product is suited to companies moving from initial measurement to supplier data collection, consolidated reporting and decarbonisation planning.

Pricing is structured around annual organizational plans. Starter provides 30 days of full access, core Scope 1 and 2 measurement, and no credit card requirement, but it is trial access rather than a continuing free plan. Core costs €2,000 per organization per year and adds single-entity measurement, full platform access and 2 hours of monthly support. Pro costs €5,000 annually and adds multi-unit consolidation, VSME reporting and 4 hours of monthly support. Enterprise costs €7,500 annually, adding multi-unit support for large organizations, CSRD reporting, 6 hours of monthly support and priority support. The platform's strongest fit is its combination of calculation, collection and reporting workflows: built-in DEFRA, EPA, ecoinvent and ADEME emissions factors sit alongside supplier surveys, primary supplier-data collection, audit traceability and reduction planning.

CarbonTool also offers a wide integration and platform surface. It is available through the web and API, with integrations for SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, QuickBooks, SAP Ariba, Coupa, Salesforce, Sage and Workday. Its REST API supports OAuth 2.0, webhooks and bulk import, giving larger data teams options beyond manual entry. Organizations needing Scope 1–3 coverage, supplier engagement and audit traceability can choose CarbonTool with Core or above. Smaller teams wanting a permanent free plan should look elsewhere, while organizations needing multi-unit consolidation or CSRD reporting must move to the higher-priced tiers.
