Cactus Custody is an institutional digital-asset custody platform from BIT Group, founded in 2019. It is designed for investment funds, family offices, mining companies, corporates, and other Web3 businesses that need managed custody alongside operational services. Segregated prime-custody accounts with on-chain verifiability sit alongside warm and cold storage, NFT custody, staking, trading, and financial-management services. The platform is available on web and through an API and Chrome extension.

Its security and transaction controls are a central part of the offering. Cactus Custody supports self-custodial MPC-TSS wallets using Intel SGX TEE, HSM-backed key management, and multi-signature vaults. Organizations can configure approval workflows with four-eye controls, while the transaction policy engine supports whitelists, limits, and timelocks. Batch transfers and downloadable transaction history support operations and recordkeeping. SOC 2 and ISO 27001 are listed compliance credentials; support is listed through email.

For institutions that need activity beyond storage, Cactus Link and MetaMask Institutional provide DeFi connectivity, and listed integrations also include Chainalysis KYT, Notabene Travel Rule, Chorus One, and HashKey Cloud. According to the vendor's pricing information, prospective customers are directed to contact sales rather than choose from published plans. This makes the product a stronger fit for organizations evaluating custody and related services with a sales conversation, rather than buyers seeking self-serve pricing. Choose it if MPC, HSM controls, policy workflows, or connected staking and trading matter; consider a narrower custody option if those institutional workflows and services are unnecessary.

  • Where it doesn't
    • Pricing requires contacting sales.

    • It is aimed at mid-market and enterprise organizations, not individual holders.
