BookFlash review
Receipt-focused bookkeeping with tax summaries, but no mileage tracking.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
BookFlash is a receipt-focused bookkeeping product for freelancers, contractors, rideshare and delivery drivers, online sellers, and landlords. Users photograph receipts or upload images and PDFs; AI extracts details including vendor, date, amounts, sales tax, line items, and category. Categories can be overridden before posting. It is suited to people who want receipt records and tax-oriented summaries, rather than a dedicated mileage log.
Receipt capture and extraction are central to the product. BookFlash provides receipt storage, period-based reports, and summaries of monthly spending, quarterly tax, and top vendors. The mileage deduction calculator is a separate tool: BookFlash explicitly does not track miles. That distinction matters for drivers who need trip records or automatic trip detection; receipt organization alone will not cover those tasks. The product is available through the web, with instructions for adding its site to iPhone/iPad and Android home screens.
The Free plan costs $0 per month and includes AI-powered receipt extraction, receipt storage, and basic analytics. Pro costs $9.99 per month and adds advanced analytics, PDF and CSV exports, and priority support. Business costs $29.99 per month and includes those Pro features plus a dedicated account manager. Choose Free for basic receipt organization, or a paid plan if exports or expanded analytics matter. BookFlash is a less suitable fit for anyone who needs mileage tracking as part of the same bookkeeping workflow.
