BoardDock review
A policy-focused board workspace for small organizations that operate online.

BoardDock is a web-based board management workspace for nonprofits, charities, clubs, associations, foundations, and community groups. It brings meeting agendas, board packages, minutes, motions, voting, policies, documents, director onboarding, roles, and governance records into one system. The product is aimed at small and mid-sized boards, including volunteer-led organizations and groups that coordinate committees and staff. Its strongest fit is a board that wants policy-focused workflows rather than a general-purpose document repository.
Pricing is structured across Starter, Standard, and Plus. Starter begins at CAD 29 and includes meetings and agendas, basic minutes, a document library, role-based access, two-factor authentication, and SSO. Standard costs CAD 69 per workspace per month when billed monthly and adds the full board package builder, full minutes workflow, motions, votes and quorum tracking, action items, a policy library, and governance analytics. Plus adds committees and sub-workspaces, committee-only materials, advanced permissions, a governance calendar with an ICS feed, custom branding, and priority support. A 14-day free trial is available, and the smallest plan supports eight members.
BoardDock’s workflow depth is concentrated around formal governance. Policy review tracking, confidentiality tiers, onboarding checklists, voting records, and audit history support boards that need repeatable controls around sensitive materials and decisions. Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet integrations connect meetings to the board workspace, while the web platform keeps access centered in a browser. The trade-off is scope and reach: BoardDock is web-only, and committee-heavy organizations need Plus for expanded workspace and permission features. Boards seeking policy, meeting, and governance records in one place should consider it; organizations needing a broader platform footprint should look elsewhere.
