BigCommerce is a hosted ecommerce platform for businesses selling through online storefronts, marketplaces, social channels, point-of-sale integrations, and other sales channels. It supports product and catalog management, checkout, payments, inventory, order management, reporting, B2B commerce, multi-storefront operations, and API-based customization. The platform is suited to small and mid-sized businesses as well as enterprise brands, particularly retailers and B2B teams that need more than a single storefront.

Pricing is organized around sales volume and feature requirements. Core costs $39 per month when billed monthly or $29 per month when billed annually, with an online storefront, single-page checkout, up to $30K TTM GMV, and 24/7 chat and email support. Growth costs $105 monthly or $79 monthly when billed annually and adds abandoned cart saver, up to $100K TTM GMV, and 24/7 phone and chat support. Scale costs $399 monthly or $299 monthly when billed annually, with a $33,333 monthly GMV cap and the same support channels. Performance is $1,499 per month billed annually and includes custom payment terms, a Dedicated Customer Success Manager, and 24/7 phone and chat support. A 15-day trial is available, and there is no free plan.

The platform’s strongest fit is commerce complexity. BigCommerce supports customer-specific pricing, quotes, purchase orders, payment terms, multi-storefront management, REST, GraphQL, and Storefront APIs, plus headless and composable commerce. Its ecosystem connects with Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Meta, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Google Shopping, Square, ERP systems, CMS platforms, and shipping and fulfillment systems. Mobile-responsive themes, digital wallets, inventory tools, analytics, SEO, shipping, tax, and omnichannel selling round out the hosted setup. Choose BigCommerce when B2B requirements, multiple sales channels, or API flexibility matter; a simpler storefront may suit businesses that do not need this breadth or volume-based plan structure.
