Our verdict on Becky! Internet Mail
Becky! Internet Mail is a Windows desktop email client for individual users, organizations, and schools. It supports POP3, IMAP4, and SMTP, with multiple mailboxes and profiles for managing separate accounts or workflows. HTML composition, reusable templates, mailing-list management, saved searches, reminders, and agents for reply and follow-up tasks make it suited to people who want more control than a basic inbox provides. It runs on Windows 10 or later and has been available since 1997.
Its strongest area is message handling. Rule-based filtering supports And/Or conditions and regular expressions, while saved search results can become virtual folders for repeatable views of mail. Scheduled reminders and send-box handling add timing controls, and templates reduce repeated composition. Portable use and synchronization through removable media may also suit users who move between compatible Windows setups. The plug-in interface provides an extension point, although the product does not present a broad integrations ecosystem.
Becky! follows a paid shareware model rather than offering a free plan. The published options include a fully featured 30-day trial and a one-time License with free updates for existing license holders. The product is a sensible choice for Windows users who value detailed rules, multiple mailboxes, mailing-list tools, and desktop control. It is less suitable for people seeking a cross-platform client, a free tier, or a large catalog of direct integrations. International sales through the former marketplace are closed, while the Japanese version remains available for purchase; the English version can be used under that license.
