Beckon Access is a cloud-based access-control system for fitness studios and similar organizations that need to manage members, permissions, locations, and connected doors. It combines a web management portal, mobile apps for iOS and Android, connected Beckon hardware, and an API. Operators can use smartphones as digital keys, apply date- and time-restricted permissions, create temporary accounts and visitor day passes, and manage access across multiple sites. Its €0.05 per member per month license makes it a fit for operators focused on keeping recurring software costs low, particularly when access control is the main requirement.
Pricing is split across licensing, connectivity, hardware, and optional club-management functions. The Member license costs €0.05 per member per month, with tiered member pricing and no minimum contract term. LTE connectivity costs €20 per device per month and includes a SIM card, while WLAN connectivity costs €10 per device per month. Beckon Hardware Gen 7 LTE and Gen 7 WLAN each cost €999 one-time per device, with one device per access point. The Club Management Add-on costs €99 per site per month and adds subscriptions, contracts, accounting, SEPA direct debit, and online payments. Hardware, connectivity, and installation therefore need to be included in the operating budget.
The platform’s strongest fit is for multi-location teams that need flexible access rules and system connectivity. Real-time authorization changes, monitoring, automatic fault detection, offline mode, push notifications, email, SMS, newsletters, REST management API, and real-time webhooks support a connected operating model. Magicline and BeckonBilling are listed integrations. Operators seeking a combined access and club-management setup can add the €99-per-site module, while those needing only entry control can avoid that extra tier. Choose Beckon Access for low member-based licensing and broad access features; choose an alternative if avoiding dedicated hardware or recurring device connectivity is the priority.
