A broad backend for multiplayer, commerce, social systems, and LiveOps.

Beamable is a backend and live-operations platform for studios building online, multiplayer, and live-service games. Its scope spans real-time and turn-based networking, optional matchmaking, player identity, cloud saves, content management, analytics, social features, commerce, and remote updates. Unity, Unreal Engine, Web SDK, REST API, AWS, Steam, and sign-in integrations for Facebook, Google, and Apple support projects across game clients and server-side systems. It is suited to teams that want backend logic and LiveOps capabilities in one platform rather than assembling each service separately.
Pricing offers several paths as a project grows. The Free Trial provides 90 days of full access to the LiveOps web portal, SDKs, C# game-server logic, documentation, a QA forum, and Discord support, with no commitment during the trial. Usage-Based Pricing starts at $100 per 10 million API calls, includes 10 KB of bandwidth per API call, and provides unlimited developer seats; additional bandwidth is billed as overage. Monthly Developer, Studio, and Pro plans cost $125, $595, and $1,895, including 12.5 million, 59.5 million, and 189.5 million API calls respectively, alongside increasing MAU and C# microservice allowances. Enterprise pricing is custom.
The platform’s strongest distinction is breadth: teams can manage player data, events, announcements, tournaments, chat, groups, leaderboards, inventory, virtual currency, stores, payments, and analytics alongside game-server logic. Managed SaaS hosting and private-cloud or single-tenant deployment options give studios different infrastructure models, while Enterprise adds dedicated support, an SLA, LiveOps monitoring, and volume discounts. Beamable fits studios that need a wide backend foundation for multiplayer or live-service operations. Teams seeking only a narrow backend component, or a permanently free plan, should consider a more limited alternative.
